Captain Lung is a bluesy Indie Rock band consisting of Morristown HS seniors Travis Fielding (drums), Johannes Burger (keys and vocals) and junior Andy McNally (guitar). Johannes and Travis began to jam and write together 7 years ago. A few years later Andy started playing with them and the trio began writing new songs and playing shows together. Influenced by the likes of Led Zeppelin, Jack White’s numerous projects, The Black Keys and The Blue Van, their style has matured into a hard bluesy indie rock sound, also reminiscent of Traffic. The band relies on the quality of their composing, along with great musical chops, to entice and intrigue the listener. They have played numerous festivals, coffeehouses, parties and showcases, from north Jersey to NYC, including the Stone Pony and the Stanhope House. The band recently played a show at Arlene’s Grocery in NYC and have just released their first studio EP, the eponymous “Captain Lung.”
